Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a traditional treatment which relieves tension, headaches and stress by massaging the shoulders, neck, scalp and face.
The massage is carried out whilst the client is seated and fully clothed.
Indian head Massage or "Champi" as its known in Hindi has origins dating back over a thousand years in India where it stemmed from the custom of family grooming.
It was introduced to the United Kingdom by Narendra Netha, although blind he was able to formalise and and develop this grooming practice to the Indian Head Massage therapy that is used daily.
After training as a physiotherapist Metha further studied Champi and soon incorporated the neck, shoulders and face into the massage. He also included some of the techniques of Shiatsu and Acupressure in order to relax tense areas, rebalance the energy levels and clear areas of concentrated negativity.
