Considering Therapy?

What do therapists do?
  • Offer you unconditional positive care and support.

  • Help you to clarify what is happening in your life.

  • Offer a non-judgemental space to be heard.

  • Empower you to develop a more caring and nurturing relationship with yourself.

  • Enable you to remove destructive obstacles from your path of self-growth.

  • Help you to establish and maintain boundaries that allow you to feel safe.

What don’t therapists do?
  • Tell you what to do.

  • Try to control you.

  • Give you generic advice.

  • Make judgements about you, your choices or your situation.

  • Allow their personal feelings or their own agenda to influence their opinion or the discussion.

What is online therapy and what are the differences between this and face to face therapy?

You can expect the same level of service for my online and telephone work as you would in person, with the knowledge that your wellbeing is always at the forefront of my practice.

Therapy is an opportunity to take time and space to explore difficult feelings and challenging themes in a setting where it feels safe to do so. The role of the therapist is to help you to become empowered within your life and to help you to remove the obstacles that you are facing in your life.
